I'm no professional photographer. I'm not even good enough to call myself an amateur photographer. The only title left for me is "Wanna-be Amateur Photographer".

I decided early on that I didn't much like taking pictures of people. So what do I like taking pictures of, you ask? Nature! Trees, flowers, bugs, animals, clouds, mountains and scenery. I also like taking pictures of old stuff. But then, I like old stuff in general. It's why I got a degree in Anthropology. I decided to dedicate today's entry to some of my favorite photos that I've taken. Starting with flowers:

And my current favorite bug photo:

Here are some of my favorite scenery shots:

And, some old stuff:

Clouds!

Ok, that's all I'm going to upload for now. This post is already a nightmare for potential dial-up readers.

I'm not sure how I got into wanting to photograph things like flowers and bugs. Maybe they are just easy subjects? Who knows. But everyone likes sunsets and mountains, so there's nothing unique in photographing that. I'll post more as I go along, and add them into regular posts when appropriate. The second photo above was taken today. I've had photography on the brain all day. I just wish I'd had decent cameras to work with when I lived in the Appalachian mountains. I have one now, but for what I like to photograph, there is little to go on in San Diego. Alas. I may return to NC this summer, camera in tow. I also may go to Hong Kong, and/or Colorado. Plenty of photo opportunites there, I'm sure.
