Here's another strange phenomena that follows me around, this one in regards to television watching.

I rarely watch TV. I watch Mythbusters, Battlestar Galactica, The Universe, and Heros. That's about it. But, like anyone, I sometimes fiind myself bored enough to flip channels. I sometimes find myself in a bar where the TV is on, and I watch a lot of TV when I'm visiting my mother. The phenomena that happens to me is this: Whenever I watch a TV show once, then don't watch it again for a very long time, then watch it again, it will be the same episode. This happened to me Saturday evening. I was eating at a restaurant with my roomate, and an episode of "Cold Case" came on the big TV. I had watched the show once previously, over the christmas break of '06 at my mothers. And, you guessed it, the episode that came on Saturday evening was that same episode. The only one I'd ever seen. The same thing happend the first two times (or only two times, in some cases) I watched CSI, Happy Days, Seinfeld, and at least a few other shows I can't think of off the top of my head at the moment. So what is up with that? I think it may be a message that I should continue not watching TV.

Whenever I do watch TV, I'm always astounded at how dumbed down it can really be. I'm always alarmed at how commercials play on people's base fears and desires, almost always trying to tie use of their product with being sexually desirable or envied by others. It's really rather disgusting if you ask me. And it's equally sad that people seem to fall for it. Bah, advertising is evil.

In other news, someone actually made it through my novel, and liked it! This prompted me to go back and re-read a few sections myself, and I found that it wasn't as bad as I had originally thought. So, I'm re-inspired to finish it and see what can be done with it.
